SSRS Data Source Help File

This will update all reports and models checked. Check boxes are on the left hand side.

In the above example you can see the data sources for reports blank2005 and blankNODS are checked. The bulk update will only update data sources selected.

 

click on the combo box- see picture below- (shown at bottom, next to the label SSRS Data source bulk change.

Chose the server data source and press the bulk change button. All ticked items will now have their server data sources changed.

 

 

Note this also works for multiple data sources in multiple reports and models. In the example below the report called ReportwithTWODSOut has 2 data sources called dsLec2 and dsLec. but only dsLec is checked. If a bulk change of the data sources was performed only the dsLec data source would be changed.

Changing Custom Data source.

 

The bulk change part (the lower part of the screen) can be used to change shared data sources or custom data sources.

If the custom option is selected - (item 4 in the picture below).  The following will be seen in the lower half of the screen.

Viewing the Default Data Source

 

Hovering the mouse over the information button shows the default connection string.

 

Note: If the icon is not visible this means there is no custom default connection string.
