In the restore there is the option

 

 

Migration Options

 

Select the Enable Transformation check box allows you to translate file share paths, SharePoint document library location and data driven subscriptions Locations. 2 additional tabs open up in the restore.

Migrate Analysis

In the Migrate Analysis tab click the Start Analysis button this scans all backed up Excel files collecting information about

file share, SharePoint document library path and Shared data sources.

 

 

 

 

 

 

After analysis, you see an information only screen of data collected from the Excel files. Press next button

 

Note the excel files are not updated only read from on the analysis.

 

 

 

 

The transformation screen allows you to change the collected items from the backed up Excel files

 

 

Migrate Options

 

This shows information for file share, SharePoint doc library and shared data sources collected from the analysis of the Excel files.

 

 

 

Each section has a grid with From and To columns. The FROM column data comes from the Excel files. The TO column you need to change (if needed) and this will be used in the restore. If the TO column is left blank then the restore will revert to the FROM column.

 

 

How to change the migration transformation

 

You have 2 ways to update the To column.

1.Directly type into the column

2.Use search and replace. The search and replace comes off the FROM column and puts the information into the TO column.
