It is used help you identify and select the correct rendering extension.
In column A for the Render Format worksheet is listed the rendering Extension.
Note the names of the rendering extensions will differ from SSRS Version to SSRS Version and you might also have additional ones to the ones listed below if you have purchased additional custom delivery extensions
The render format need to be specified in each subscription and has a column for each delivery extension, for example the File share delivery extension:
